Pattison City Council was a muddle of mis-actions Monday. Alderman Joe Garcia once again voted against paying park maintenance invoices to re-emphasize that the city still has not resolved issues he raised about the park. Months ago, Alderman Garcia asked that title to the city’s park be established after doubt was expressed about actual ownership of the city’s only park. Although Alderman Bell stated seceral months ago that he had a copy of the property deed and would do a title search. Apparently that action still has not been taken.

Jayne Pace is one of the many women who served during World War II to protect our country. While most of them were working in ammunition, or airplane factories and other military support industries, Jayne was wheeling through the skies, buzzing and bombing German submarines (Uboats), while serving in the Civil Air Patrol.

Tuesday October 7, Brookshire Police Department and the Royal ISD Police Department held the First Annual Night Out in Brookshire. Waller County Sheriff’s Department was on hand with a SWATCH vehicle and the Brookshire Fire Department also provided trucks and lit the night up with blue and red flashing lights. A large crowd of several hundred people came in and out of downtown Brookshire, enjoying the night.
