Milten Clinic part of largest Medicare fraud in history

Area residents have long speculated about the Milten Clinic on Cooper Street in Brookshire. While it has been a clinic for a number of years, there were seldom cars parked out front and rarely anyone seen entering the building. Last week the Milten Clinic became part of what is being called the largest Medicare fraud crackdown in history.

 

Clover Kids reel ‘em in during Fishing Camp

Joshua L. Williams Extension Agent (4-H and Youth Development), Waller County Extension Services On June 11, 2016 4-H Clover Kids of Waller County took their club meeting to the lake. The members were instructed in fishing equipment, gear, casting, bait, safety and catch and release. Although, there were no fish caught in the time they were there, the members had a good time and learned a lot.

Brookshire’s Progressive Hoops High School Team wins One Day Shootout Classic

The Progressive Hoops AAU High School Basketball Team entered the “One Day Shootout Classic” at Fallbrook. The team won all its games coming home with First Place in their division.

3rd Annual Royal Falcon Football Camp July 28-29

The 3rd annual Royal Falcon Football Camp for incoming 1st through 9thgraders will be July 28 & 29, 2016 (Thursday & Friday) at the Royal Athletic Field House at Royal High School in Brookshire. The camp runs from 8:30 a.m. to noon both days with a registration fee of $20. Camp shirts (see photo from 2015) will be distributed during the second day, and all campers should report to the Royal Field House. Campers need to bring grass cleats, athletic clothes, sunscreen, a cap/hat to protect against the sun, and a great attitude and goal of improving your skills.
